It all started with a love of nature and its one-of-a-kind imperfections

Meydan Levy and Esti Brantz, two industrial designers, were always passionate about the beauty of natural raw materials, especially food. They were exposed to enormous amounts of fruits and vegetables being thrown away simply because of their visual appearance. Perfectly tasty and nutritious produce wasted just for being “ugly”. As an act of design and a practical solution, they had a revolutionary idea; what if we could redesign these unwanted vegetables and create edible pieces of art that show their inner beauty? 

To fulfill their vision, they did experiments that rediscovered the physical characteristics of the raw materials, and in combination with ancient and novel technologies, they invented the food of the future.

Meydan and Esti collaborated with Anat Natan, an experienced marketing and culinary expert, and in 2020 ANINA culinary art was born, a new magical culinary experience.

Using a fusion of innovative technology, expertise in design and knowledge in culinary arts, ANINA created an entirely new eating experience packed in a pod. Super nutritious ready meals made from unwanted upcycled vegetables that give the vegetables the leading role of the show. With something as simple as water and a few minutes of heating, Anina’s magical pods open up like a flower before your very eyes and transform into a meal that’s bursting with flavor, texture and nutritional goodness
